This project consists of a new three building complex consisting of two classroom buildings and one faculty/administration office building. Scope of work to be performed includes Geotechnical Observations and testing and special inspections /testing of reinforced concrete, structural steel, reinforced masonry, wood framing, fireproofing and roofing.

CSULB - Nursing Building Addition
Long Beach, CA
This project consists of a 10,500 square foot, one-story brace frame, structural steel building. Quality Assurance Inspections is currently providing Geotechnical Observations and testing, and special inspections of reinforced concrete, structural steel & welding (including non-destructive testing), reinforced masonry, high strength bolting & proprietary anchorage and all associated material testing. The structure will be built on pad footings and grade beams with a 5” slab-on-grade. Design components include a stucco finish exterior, metal fascia, exposed concrete and brick veneer. The building will house a computer lab, three classroom labs, five faculty offices and a conference room.

West Hollywood Park—Phase I Library & Parking Structure
West Hollywood, CA
This project consists of a 48,000 square foot, three-story library with a 90-car single level parking structure. Quality Assurance Inspections is currently performing special inspections of reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel (field and shop welding and nondestructive testing) and fireproofing for this project. All associated material testing is also being provided.
March 2009. QAI is proud to have been awarded two significant projects at
California State University, Long Beach. Peterson Hall is a 160,000-square-foot structure
that will house the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Geological
Sciences, and Physics. The 107,306-square-foot Student Recreation and Wellness Center will
house a gymnasium, fitness center, racquetball and squash courts, outdoor sports center and pool.
November 2008. QAI has been chosen to provide geotechnical engineering services
along with construction materials testing and inspection services for the new Physicians’
Hospital in Murrieta, California. The project, which includes construction of a 106-bed
acute care hospital with a full service emergency department, is scheduled for completion in late 2009.
October 2008. QAI is pleased to announce that Erica Schelin is now acting as
Business Development Manager for the Inland Empire. Ms. Schelin’s extensive industry
experience will undoubtedly be a great benefit to QAI and we welcome her on board!
September 2008. Benito Caban, P.E. has been named Vice President of QAI.
Mr. Caban, who also heads up QAI’s San Diego office, has been with the firm since 2005.
August 2008. For the second year in a row, QAI has been selected by the Orange
County Business Journal as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in Orange County.
